antarctica 2020

in november 2020, 21-year-old university student tom warburton will become the youngest person in history to complete a solo crossing of the south pole.

from coast to coast, tom will ski 700 miles through some of the most unforgiving and treacherous conditions on the planet; completely alone in sub-zero temperatures and gale-force winds.

throughout the expedition, tom is hoping to raise £120,000 for help for heroes and great ormond street - two very worthy charities which are close to his heart.

since first hearing about tom's expedition, we have supported his two training expeditions to norway and watched him scramble off a glacier in iceland in what proved to be one of the worst storms to hit the region in recent memory.

unfortunately, due to the COVID-19 outbreak, tom faced the biggest setback to date and had no choice but to suspend his expedition until further notice.

inspired by tom's selfless endeavour and his unfailing commitment to his project and all that it stands for, we will be doing everything we can to support tom and his team navigate these uncertain times.
